About Euphorbia milii

Euphorbia milii, is a species of flowering plant in the spurge family Euphorbiaciae, native to Madagascar. The species name commemorates Baron Milius, once Governor of Réunion, who introduced the species to France in 1821. It is imagined that the species was introduced to the Middle East in ancient times.

It is a succulent subshrub or shrub growing to 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) tall, with densely spiny stems. The straight, slender spines, up to 3 cm (1.2 in) long, help it scramble over other plants. The leaves are found mainly on new growth,[and are up to 3.5 cm (1.4 in) long and 1.5 cm (0.59 in) broad. The flowers are small, subtended by a pair of conspicuous petal-like bracts, variably red, pink or white, up to 12 mm (0.47 in) broad

Description

Belisarius collection is crafted on dark coloured cardboard along with a dark envelope using Euphorbia milii as a flower and could be offered in a business environment, to management team, partner’s board or team of clients. The contrast made between red flowers, dark cardboard and white ink is elegant and sober and even in Holliday season differentiate your intention in a special gift for someone you appreciate.

Inspired by Belisarius, known as the last Roman general, the collection speaks about loyalty, honour, courage and appreciation.  He twice defeated the Persians and reconquered North Africa from the Vandals in a single year at the age of 29, before going on to regain Spain and Italy, including Rome, from the barbarians. Belisarius was a significant general and a change factor in the evolution from classical Roman to Byzantine armies and systems of warfare, as well as those of their chief enemies, the Persians, Goths and Vandals.
